Our proposals

Our proposals for Steamer Point will include:

  • 29 new homes:
    • 12 detached and semi-detached homes, including:
      • 4 three-bedroom houses
      • 8 four-bedroom houses
    • 17 apartments, including:
      • 3 two-bedroom apartments
      • 14 three-bedroom houses
    • Buildings ranging from 2 – 4 storeys in height, with the 4 storey apartment building having a recessed third floor and located in the south-east corner, away from existing residential dwellings
    • A contemporary design approach, using bespoke designs and high-quality building materials for the houses and an art deco style for the apartment building
    • Vehicular access from Penny Way, with upgrading works proposed to Penny Way
    • Parking provision in accordance with BCP Council’s standards
    • The retention of a majority of the trees in the northern section of the site, keeping this natural screening in place and filtering views from neighbouring properties
    • Provision of private and communal amenity space on-site, with new tree planting and landscaping across the development
